Warped through Time and Blazing Arrival

His sleep was disturbed as hands grabbed his roughly, lifting the young teen up and forced
to stand. His didn't know what time it was, clocks no longer exsisted. Most of technology
no longer exsisted. What was left of technology that did remain exsisting was scavenged
and fixed back to almost be new. What wasn't able to be fixed back was sold through a Trade
market between the several human bands that struggle to survive in this wasteland of a
world after the Final War. And still war rages between Tribes. Nowadays people went on
a coin only system as a way of having and spending money. The surviving human bands were
scattered in various places around the world. And continental movement was a forewarning
of another catalcysm yet to come. So people did their best to stay away from beaches,
coasts and tectonic faults for fear of the ground moving out from under their feet and
falling into a firery molten abyss.

Barely enough time to get his clothes on, but these clothes were different and not
originally his so he was having some trouble of getting these new traveling clothes on.
After a few times, he managed to finally get the tunic on and fastened. He was given
a backpack full of survival items which he put on. So this was it then, this was the
day he'd been waiting for. At fourteen years of age, he'd been readying himself for this
all his young life, for he had been selected to go right after he was born. Not that
he didn't mind, it was just the small bit of fear of what place he'll find himself at
was all. His parents passed on during the time he was growing up, one by one it seemed,
by some kind of tainted disease he himself was immune from. Not natrually born but from
a local scientists' birth chamber. Only one set of parents where selected to give their
DNA to make a genetically enhanced child. What the scientist didn't tell was that they
also used a mixture of all possible acquired bigcat feline DNA to join with the human
DNA. Feline traits and features wasn't likely to show until the child got to the age of
fifteen. Tests were run, failed experiments were flushed out of the labortory system
so to speak. Out of all in this human band settlement, he was the only successful subject
to have passed the lab's requirements. He was smarter, faster, stronger, more agile
and more enduring that regular humans. Plus he was gifted with the ability to heal
and recover from any type of injury. Because they had tested him on it, even all the
way to being burned up alive. The boy had completely healed back within a matter of
hours. Four hours to be exact, plus he showed no signs of having been burned up to
a charred skeleton at all. They thought it was because his brain was still intact.

His front hair fell in his view and he lifted up a hand to brush it back behind an ear,
a learned and involuntary habbit. Kyle sighed, slightly wishing to run away but his
guards held his firmly so he couldn't. His skin he tanned under a sun bathing bed, at
least a tan reddish color tone of skin. He wasn't frail either, training all his young
life had made his lean and admittedly strong as a lion. Going up an elevator to the top
floor that was only a floor away from what had once been known as the planet's life
giving surface. Instead, most places were tainted with pockets of radiation.

The elevator's doors opened and they walked out, heading down the corridor to the one
room where he was to be transported. At the end of the hallway, the thick door opened
at the middle and slid back into the doors' resesses on either side. Inside was the
rebuilt Transdimensional Gate that loomed menacingly in the far back, its encircling
the active magical crystals of various colors. The circling device made the effect
of a glowing rainbow. As he was led towards the thing, his guards let go of him at a
distance of ten feet from the gate device. Kyle turned his head back to watch them
leave and into the side shielded control room. All or nothing, thought Kyle, even though
he had no idea where and when he was going to end up at. All they said was a future
time, they didn't go into details. He pushed the small fear back down in his
subconscious. No time for that now. At the Director's push of a button, the gate erupted
to life, the glowing rainbow effect swirling around into a malestrom of light pushing
outward then bending back on itself, making a ripple on the horizontal pool of
time displacement. The circling device was at its maximum strength, powered by the
various colored crystals of a rainbow. It was ready. He was ready. Waiting for the
signal to jump through, the Director was in a small argument about what time in the
future to send the boy. The scientist wanted to send the boy to a later time while
the Director wanted to send the boy to a nearer time. A few centuries difference.

Both the scientist and the Director got into a fight, which caused them to bump and
bang against stuff, including the control panels. The fighting caused the Director
to fall back against the gate control panel, his hand pushing random number buttons.
One such button was the light signal for the boy to jump into the time displacement
field that was surrounded by the Transdimensional Gate.

At the signal, Kyle braced himself and ran towards the gate, ingoring the calls of
warning from the speakers that emit from the control room. On the last running
step, he leaped into the displacement field. There was a flash from behind as the
past world behind him exploded with debris and hot fire. Traveling through the
time tunnel as it was called, he screamed in pain as electric bolts of energy shot
into his body and burned him from the inside out, yet, his automatic body healing
would not allow him to die. It was an ability of his he had no control over.

At the other end, he saw it racing up to him, so he curled up into a ball best he
could and head tucked under arms. The impact with the ground was softer than he
was used to when he was spending most of his time while growing up training.
Kyle rolled a few feet then broke out of being curled up and shifted sideways and
the young boy slid to a stop on the grass. Opening his feline eyes, he looked
back to the time tunnel exit to see it ripple, but Kyle's eyes widened as fire
from the explosion also had followed him but it now too exited from the time
tunnel's exit and erupted out like a naplam bomb going off as well as being loud.

The mushroom of fire went all the way up to the treeline, burning some tree branches
that happened to be nearby. Sadly, Kyle himself didn't escape the fire explosion
unscaved. In fact, beside he was turned torwards the time tunnel exit, his forearms
and hands were burned down to the muscle. Perhaps it was good that he had rolled
some distance away from it. He got one last look at the time tunnel as it
flickered, rippled and closed in on itself with a loud thundering boom. The
gateway was closed leaving him stranded in this place and time but now there was
a fire burning in front of him.

"Ragh, darnit. Need time to heal." He didn't feel pain when he healed, it was like
the part or parts that healed were numb. His forearms from his elbows was already
starting to heal themselves. It would take a bit of time. It depended on the
serverity of the injury.

Groaning in pain, which was a familar feeling, he staggered to stand up and back
himself away from the fire until he bumped back up against a tree. The grass,
the trees, the foliage, the pure fresh air -not recycled air-, the sky and clouds
was all new to him. It was a surprise to him when he looked up to see darkening
clouds overhead, thunder echoed all around. He needed to get away from this area
before the loud sounds brought any local wildlife that the sounds attracted.
A single question formed in his head, hands and forearms beginning to show skin
healing back in places. "Where the heck am I?"

He didn't know, but he had arrived in the small forest area of the island of Hoole,
but with the smoke billowing upward, Kyle couldn't see the Great Tree where the
owls and Guardian owls lived.
Kyle Felis Lionheart is sent through time and ends up in a place and time in an unknown
area.
